East End Destinations

Assiniboine Food Forest

Visit the Assiniboine Food Forest to wander beneath the canopy of oak, ash and maple

throughout the Treesblood Interpretive Trail System that connects to the Food

Forest. Visit our website to learn more about the many projects underway to establish

a thriving natural landscape for students and families to enjoy that harmonizes wildlife habitat with human experience, promotes

self‑sustaining food production for both humans and wildlife, and endeavours to provide educational workshops and tours on diverse scientific, artistic, and cultural themes.

Crow's General Store

Visit this distinctive General Store that is

everything but ordinary! Grab an ice cream

in the parlour before exploring the rolling

landscape that boasts photo opportunities

at every turn! Check out the antiquities

and collector’s items scattered throughout

the grounds, or follow the trail system that

connects Crow’s to Treesblood Farm & the

Assiniboine Food Forest. Through the winter

months park at Crow’s to find snowshoe and

cross‑country ski trails, then stop for a warm

treat in the parlour!

Rideau Park

Rideau Park is a must‑see part of Brandon’s East End Experience as a major greenspace within the community. Atop the hill at the southeast corner of the park is the former Brandon Court House and Jail, which now operates as a personal care home. The building is a Provincially designated heritage site, and is the oldest remaining courthouse in the Prairies. Nestled next to the incredibly active East End Community Centre you will also find Brandon’s iconic water tower. Within the beautiful rolling landscape of the park itself impressive floral gardens and walkways connect all areas of the park for families and visitors to enjoy. offered include adventure playground, Kinsmen Pool, East End Millennium Play Park, water spray park, lawn bowling, picnic tables, paved walking paths, a floral plaza

East End Community Centre

Atop the hill at Rideau Park, you will find the East End Community Centre. This is beloved neighbourhood gathering spot provides space for family recreation and community celebrations! With a beautifully landscaped outdoor skating space, complete with fire pit, an outdoor hockey rink, community gardens, and space for mid-sized neighbourhood gatherings; the East End Community Centre is a busy little spot!

The Green Spot

In its twenty‑five‑year history, the Green

Spot has been steadily growing from a

greenhouse to a home and garden shopping

destination. Encompassing 126,000 square

feet of production greenhouses, with 30,000

square feet of retail space, you can’t miss

this hidden gem on the east end of Rosser

Avenue. Visit the Green Spot to find all of

your gardening and landscaping needs, but

don’t miss everything else! Find boutique

shopping and be sure to explore the entire

facility to find the bird sanctuary, fish ponds,

and even a few dinosaurs!
